| Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds – People Ain't No Good Lyrics
| 19 years ago
|
I have always been under the impression that the song isn't so much about people being horrible in the emotional sense, but it's Cave telling a story about how you can love someone, completely devote yourself to them and in the end they die and you're left without them.
So really, people ain't no good, because even if you love someone they can still die. |

A brilliant song that really really portrays how a man can feel in prison. Johnny Cash was a wise man, he hatred the crimes but never the criminals. |

An amazing song, Cohen paints a picture in your mind of this beautiful yet terrible place he describes. It's not heaven... it's not hell, it's just beauty mixed with sadness. |

I love how Cash's love for the South shows in this song. Right up there with Sweet Home Alabama as a Southern Anthem if you ask me. |

| Mike Ness – Don't Think Twice Lyrics
|
A great version of a classic Waylon Jennings Jr. song (I think he did the original, though I'm not 100%), Ness really has the voice for these kinds of songs.
The title really says it all, don't think twice about leaving me... because I'll be alright. |

I'm suprised to find people think he sounds sarcastic when he sings 'I hope he bought you roses'. I think he sounds heartbroken, but not bitter.. just incredibly sad. |

No comments on the amazing vocal stylings of Dan Andriano? Damn shame, Dan's got a great unique voice. This song is a 'Tuesday' cover... and it's basically just a love song. Staring at the stars with someone you love.. and never wanting the moment to end. |

Musically, this is SUCH an "Am I Evil?" tribute (He wrote this with the guy from Diamond Head, apparently)... lyrically, I think it's great. |

This song is a great song about breaking up with someone you love. The song really would have taken a different meaning if Sharon lost her fight with Cancer, eh? |

I didn't enjoy the Cash cover of the song as much as NiN's live version. But the man does make the song in his style, which you have to respect that not many people who cover songs do. |

| Metallica – The Wait (Killing Joke cover) Lyrics

I know it's originally a Killing Joke song....so I dunno why I'm putting the meaning here, but anyway..
I don't know the ACTUAL meaning, but I'm guessing...that it has something to do with Soldiers waiting to move out or something. |

| Metallica – We Did It Again (feat. Ja Rule and Swizz Beatz) Lyrics
| 23 years ago
|
I really hate it when people complain about how Metallica don't sound how they use to. Since when did they become your Musical Slaves? Aren't they allowed to try new things without a 18 year old with a mullet shouting "SELL OUT!" at them? Selling out is going against your own goals in order to make money. Metallica set out to make music...have they done so?
Yes they have.
And really...come to think of it, when was the last time a Metallica album sounded like the last one? Granted...ReLoad was like Load, but ReLoad was full of the songs that didn't make it to Load. As James stated on it's release. "...And Justice for all" sure doesn't sound like "Kill 'Em All". Does that mean they sold out back then?
You guys really need to look at your definition of selling out. |

I think this songs about having that really good friend who you're really connected too, like blood-brothers and stuff like that. When you're against people you've got a friend to back you up...stuff like that.
This is just my opinion..it's by no means the real meaning (Well, it could be). |

I think someone screwed this up and posted 2 sets of lyrics.
Meaning of Life is about being forcefed your life to you instead of choosing your own path. |
