The melody on this and every other Jars Of Clay song is awsome, the harmonies are really really pretty, the guitar is awsome as usualy and the lyrics are to good to even explain, this has to be the most broken songs ever, broken as in admitting they are a sinner and just exposing themself to the good lord. If you haven't heard the StringTown Version I suggest you either download it or get the album because they play it so awsome live. When i heard it done live I started to cry because i was doing some stuff i shouldn't have been involved in, and this song honestly ripped my life apart. Rory |

This is my favorite Bob original, it's a very simple song, but there's just something about it that made me fall in love with it. There are many variations of the second verse, and i think version with The Grateful Dead is one of the best. |

This is a good band I enjoy them veyr much, but i would like to say something. Without corrupt goverentment you wouldn't be here in America, you'd be speaking German or Spanish. War is a good and bad thing. War freed America from the Tyranny of Great Britian. These lyrics are very true and pretty good. Money rules this nation. One nation under the dollar sign, but I'd rather live in this country anyother in this world. We all have our faults! |
