Above is a great song, Our Lady Peace is Your Piece of Shit, and even after all that, I agree, Finger Eleven is ONE AMAZING BAND! As for the meaning of the lyrics, good question, *listens to song*, the "...and we're standing ABOVE them..." refers to the "hanging on...fall is too far" part, they were barely hanging on, but still above those who had already fallen into the proverbial "pit" and the "But I can hold on, as sure as I'm strong..." refers to how he is willing to fight for what it is he believes in "Get over the faithful yesterdays" means that the past is the past, as good or as bad as it was, they'll have to start over... ...thats my take on it anyhow... |
