I am a tool fan, and i've heard Maxwell Murder, and i am familiar with the bass work in all of tool and in M.M.

You're obviously too ignorant to realize that Flea invented the fast funk slap like he does it. Before he made it fast like that, there was no real fusion between funk and rock. Not to mention the fact that he can stand there and improvise funk slap solos for hours and never run out of original ideas.

The Wall is about psychological walls, using world war two as a metaphor. as such, this song is about world war two, but also about isolation -- similar to how comfortably numb is about drugs (yes, i know the "pin prick" is not heroin.. that wouldn't make sense), but is also NOT about drugs. |

This song has a totally differant meaning to me. i see it to be about scientology, and about how the religion saps you of money, and promises the power to Heal if you keep faith and give blood (money)
To me, instead of being about keeping your head up or keeping faith in ur self or anything positive like that, to me it seems to be the lament of a doomed scientologist, blindly keeping faith in his masters. |
