avril doesn't write her own songs...she's not original, if you look at the liner notes on the cd all the songs are written by songwriters + her (on most on the songs), she doesn't even play guitar, and she admitted in an interview that she doesn't even skateboard, it's like..taking something that could be original and totally turning it into a money making venture (definition of selling-out) going on a major label isn't selling out, but lordy-lord, she is selling out, go buy a tie from her website and then listen to mtv... |

it is by yellowcard, yellowcard has a violinist in it, well vocalist plays violin, yellowcard is sweet, rufio is sweet too ;) in fact i just downloaded it as a rufio song...but yeah, i can see how people would mistake it for a rufio song if they didnt know yellowcard (how many punk bands have a violin...) |

k lets just say that anything that is emotional is emo, because thats what emo means. i figure since magazines and basically everyone in the media are calling everything remotely emotional emo, i will too. emo is a label, and people who shun music because of what category the masses place it in need to lighten up. i listen to what you would consider emo, hardcore metal and pop even, hell i dont care what genre as long as it sounds good. i like this song, i like most blink songs, also there is no REAL music anymore, all REAL bands have either changed their style to suit the trends or have broken up/died, etc etc, and arguing over semantics is redundant, this site is to rate songs, not argue, shit... btw, just had to add this that if you havent heard anything by em, check out something corporate (they're prolly all on much music and mtv now anyway...) but still they manage to kick more ass than most bands |

theoretically emo is any music that makes you feel something emotionally, so hopefully most music is emo, however nowadays most people consider emo a specific form of music, and i personally dont think this song fits in there :P its rock... also, his voice does sorta sound like kurt cobain's, also this song is pretty funny and its great cuz its a happy melody but pretty depressed lyrics... anyhoo, funny song, cool band |
