'Your hungry flirt borders intrusion
I'm building memories on things we have not said'
I can really relate to that line. Fiona is a true poet. |

I hate how people love to label music. Who gives a fuck if it's pop, punk, "emo" or whatever? If you like the song, you like it. I like this song and I don't give a fuck who else is listening. |

Yes, this is a lovely song. Donnie Darko was a great movie, by the way. Anyone who has not seen it needs to go out and rent it immediately. |

I find the line 'amber is the color of your energy, shades of gold displayed naturally' one of the best choruses I've heard. If a guy said that to me, I'd be his forever. This guy's a poet. |

What the hell, fortis? You're saying that it's better to be homophobic? Where the hell do you live, West Virginia? |

He's talking about a lover of his who makes him feel like he's in control, when nothing else can do that for him. She's basically the only thing he has left. This is just part of the story of The Downward Spiral album. To get a full understanding, you must listen to and understand the album as a whole. |

The piano and cello/violin (I'm not sure which it is) in the background adds to the depressing power of this song. |

I hate the term 'nu-metal', especially since Mudvayne was around before that term was ever created. Anyway, I'm a big fan of this band. They stay true to themselves, and that's admirable in these dark days of mostly manufactured mainstream music. |

This song reflects how I feel about 'God' perfectly. I love Sarah Mclachlan's Rarities, B-Sides, and Other Stuff cd. |

This is one of my favorite NIN songs. The music, the lyrics, Trent's voice..it all melts together beautifully. I would love to make the video for this song, because I have a perfect idea for it. Besides my idea, though, I wish they had made a video for this song, as well as for 'The Day The World Went Away'. |

Dustin Hoffman kicked ass in Hook. That fake food really did look good, especially that colored stuff that looked like icing. I have no idea who this band is, though, sorry. |

| Nine Inch Nails – Something I Can Never Have Lyrics

I love to see new nin fans, myfavoriteunderwear. =) Anyway, this song means a lot to me. I like to play it on the piano, when I'm bored. That's not why it means a lot to me, though. It means a lot to me, because I have gone through the exact scenario that this song narrates. It's probably one of the easiest songs of Trent's to understand. It basically speaks for itself. An interesting thing about this song is that in the lyrics section of the booklet on Pretty Hate Machine, there are some added lyrics at the end of the song that aren't actually sung in the song. These are those added lyrics:think i know what you meant that night on my bed still picking at this scab i wish you were dead your sweat and perry ellis just stains on my sheets |

I agree, gotterdam. I thought the addition of one of Trent's most often-used lyric: 'nothing can stop me now' was the perfect touch to this song. |

This song is so beautiful, and goes with the Still cd very well. It seems to me that this song could be sort of a sequel to 'The Great Below', but who knows. I agree, Casey, he is a lyrical god. |

It is a beautiful song. I also discovered this song as well as Smiths from The Perks of Being a Wallflower. Lovely book. Stephen Chbosky is just amazing. |
