This is one of my favorite songs too....I always listen to it when I am in a depressed mood or when I am dancing because it brings out my emotions (i am a dancer if you didnt realize that) But I think that this song is about a girl that is not physically drowning but emotionally drowning in her sorrows, and there are so many that it seems like she is in a river of sorrows, and finally, she gives up and let things just happen, like in the lines: I've been drowning forever I'll let go I'll dive into the river and flow And in the lines: You said that you could hear bells in the traffic below I could hear sirens and car engines fighting the snow I think that means that this boy is happy and is hearing wonderful things, but she can only hear the negative and the ugly sounds. I am probably wrong, but oh well. That's how I percieve the song. And if you haven't heard this song yet, I suggest you do, it is amazing. The singer's voice is therapeutic and the song is, well amazing! |

No Doubt is an awesome band but I just think that after this CD they won't do anymore, but if they do, I hope the music is more like Tragic Kingdom, I miss that stuff! | |

this is the first song i've heard of Fenix Tx's, but believe me, it got me hooked. The writing is so amazing, my favorite part is: *The world has let me down Is it you're just not around I've lost my reason all the memories Every smile you gave to me you can keep them The days go by the nights don't change The stars still spell out your name I will wait for you* its like the person he loved, left him, and he feels let down by the world, but he will always love her, and he can't stop thinking of her like when he says "the stars still spell out your name" but yet even though he loves her, he is angry at her because she left and the line that says "every smile you gave to me you can keep" btw...thisis exactly how i feel about one guy i kno...sadly |

i really like this song. i think the first line that say: *Maybe when the room is empty, maybe when the bottles full, maybe when the door gets broke down love can break in.* well maybe it means that they when they are alone, they could work on their relationship, like he's saying when the room is empty, maybe there was a party or something. and when he says "maybe when your hair gets darker" well i think that means that he wants to go out with her in winter? i know, it sounds weird, but girls usually have their hair ligheter in summer and dye it or something darker in winter. i dunno, just a thought. |
