I think this has alot to do with Government control or maybe societies influence and control over what we do. Like when he says "peace is what they tell me love am i unholy lies are what they tell me " I think he's talking about how we're told we should be something because it's right but on the inside we have this inner voice that tells us that we should be something unique. If you try to listen to that voice and be different, society as a whole seems to try and destroy you(mentally at least). Most of us just give up after some time and we conform but he won't so he has to live a torn, painful life..............Or maybe I'm looking too far into it, you decide.

You know I don't really consider Creed a "Christian rock band". Everyone seems to look to some biblical meaning but just cause Scott is Christian and in a band doesn't make it christian rock. I think the song is just about how it's so hard to be yourself and more so how it's so hard just to live.

Where did all this media stuff come from? The song isn't really about revenge or anything. It's meant to teach a lesson. When he says "what if your words could be judged like a crime" he's talking about all the cruel and hateful things we say to each other. The song, simply put, is about the cruelty of humanity.

It's a bit more then just sex on a beach. Or anywhere for that matter. It's about a couples spur of the moment love where they can barely control themselves. After it's all over they leave. Later they meet again in that same spot and it's like nothing else ever mattered. You can tell by when he says" time in between was just a dream." There is no actual fog. He's refering to the loss of control he has over himself. When he says " we are lost till we are found" I think he means, we are nothing until we have someone to love. In short it's like what the Beatles said: " All you need is love."

I think you guys are over analyzing it. This song was written only for the Mummy Returns. It's about the Mummy's(Imhotep's) love for pharrows wife. Remeber in the movie he planed on taking over the world with the two of them ruling it, and in the song it says "the world is never enough and I'm not giving it up." When he says"my faith in love is like blood, I'd spill it freely for some" he's talking about how the mummy was willing to kill anyone who stood in between him and his love. And when he refers to "the other side" he's talking about the realm of the dead. You can see this was written for a movie by reading the lyrics, the song is dominated by chorus's. Yes he did do a good job of describing what love feels like but he did it briefly and did it to set a mood in a movie. Jees guys don't over think things all the time.
