Ok, regarding up there some where. Why are you guys sitting here debating whether Chris does or does not drink? Either way his lyrics MAKE sense, by the way. You act as if listening to his music somehow makes you an expert on his WHOLE life. I just heard FSF's music recently, and I notice he talks about "the bottle" considerably often (looking at DS's music as well). Maybe he does drink, maybe he used to, or maybe he is always tempted to join in the party. You need to open your minds a little, so that you can see the possibilities. I think all of you doubful people should just be grateful that Chris has even made music, and given you the chance to take a look into his life, however small of a glimpse it truly is. Obviously you want more of him (whichever "Chris" you prefer), because you're still talking about it. (I realize how it upsets you, but you CAN'T change it. So just enjoy what you have.) Chris obviously has amazing writing talent, so just appreciate it without worrying SO MUCH about his next move. Artists change periodically. Just because Chris happened to change bands with his artistic change, people don't feel the same about his situation. Obviously I can talk about Chris forever, because there's A LOT to be said. Wait one more thing, just because you think the lyric means something doesn't mean Chris meant it to be perceived as so. Maybe his bottle is something no one else can relate to, making writing about it virtually impossible because people would never understand. Just look at the possibilities.

The line, "distorted eyes when everything is clearly dying" just hit me. I'm addicted to speed, but I've always thought that I could quit. When I heard this song, it caused me to look at what's happening around me. I'm losing everything, and I couldn't see that. The line,"Erupt again ignore the pill, and I won't let it show", makes me think of all those times when, after keeping things held in for so long, I just erupted. When that happens, speed seems to call me the most and, and I try to ignore it. But I just keep that inside me as well, and it just begins the cycle all over again. I've gone through the "emotion sickness" so many times, but the lessons were never learnt. I could never see it. And now it's too late. |
