This song is soo awesome. TBS kicks major ass. In my opinion this is their best song, I can't stop listening to it. I think the story behind it is really sad. They hate eachother for it, I wonder if they hate the girl that caused it?? Oh Well, it's an awesome song and so is 70x7. TBS is a great band, now one of my favorites. And if you're reading this and you haven't listened to them yet, I highly reccomend it. =) |

This song is so amazing. Words cannot express how simply brilliant it is. Scooter Ward did such a great job with the lyrics. I relate to them so much. There's a feeling people get sometimes. A feeling like no one else in the world understands you. I had that feeling. Then I heard this song. It's almost as if the lyrics came straight from my heart. This is and will forever be my song. It's impossible to find one better. This song is GREAT MUSIC wrapped up into one song. They lyrics are saying that music is everything in life, it's an escape from the pain inside, a way to express everything you need to but can't get out in words. Music is LIFE. Scooter says "All I need is music, to set me free, to let me bleed" That line is so powerful, and means so much to me because All I need is music to live, in a sense it sets me free from everyday troubles, and it lets me "bleed" or let all my emotion out. This will forever be my favorite song.
And to all the people who have put comments: You must all be wonderful people for this song to touch you to the extent you say. Stay true to music forever.

I think this song is about someone who doesn't likw the person they are and they are trying to change to keep everyone happy, but also trying to be who they wanna be. They blame themself for everything that goes wrong, and they have no pride. They think that by changing inot a better person, they will gain pride. But that's just how I see it. |

NFG is awesome.. I've come to really love and appreciate them latly... their new CD is amazing and this is probably my favorite song from it. Th lyrics for the first verse mean so much to me. This song will live in my mind forever. NFG is NOT selling out or going pop... They are true music.. no fake shit... They're real... never forget that... I saw NFG in concert with Blink a year ago.. awesome show.. they kick ass live!! I agree with jimmypop.. Kick ass song.. all they needs to be said... one of NFG's best.. this and 2's+3's.. great songs... |

Okay.. I know I really have no right to say anything about The Starting Line... because I only foind out about them like a week ago.. but I have to say... they are now one of my favorite bands along with New Found Glory and others... Like I said I really shouldn't gove my opinion because I don't want to offended any long time listeners.. but I love this song.. it is my favorite song right now.. I like the old and new version (the added vocals by finch is fantasic) Both beginings are good in my mind. I've spent the last like 4 days downloading every single song I could find by them.. The lyrics are amazing and bring tears to my eyes. the sound is wounderful.. Music is my life.. it means everything to me.. and I love thing you can think of that's rock, punk, alternitive, grunge, metal, anything like that I'll fall in love with it.. and the people who said it's just music there's more important things... well maybe to you.. but when music means this much to you.. it comes first...
But anyways.. The Starting Line is an outstanding band.. I love them... I think this is one of their best songs... I love the new cd and the older ones too.. I love how they make you think about what they mean..and you realize that's really how it is.. I'm so thankful to my friend who told me about The Starting Line.. I'm apoligize again to any of you more devoted listeners for putting in my opinion because of my new discovery... I just had to get my point across that The Starting Line is one kick ass band.. thank you for reading what I had to say...

Okay.. this is what I think... I could be wrong in many ways, but this is how I intrperate it.... Okay, since this is part od a mamasan-triligy.. I'll try to explain what I get from it... The first song (Alive) was about his parents or something... and that pissed him off... I'm assuming that would be the mental damage that causes him to commit the murders in the second song (Once), he addmits he commits the murders and shows no remorse.. so I assume he went to jail for it.... The third song (Footsteps.. above) I think is about him being in prison... maybe on death row... He says they can't reach him, he won't be home i think meaning he's inprisioned and won't be getting out.. and he's saying don't stop by.. meaning he doesn't want people to visit.... And when he says the reason is you.. I think he's refering to his mother, which would fit the first song.... The scrathes on his arm... it could be one scrath for ever day he's been in prison... or self mutilation... I beleive the footsteps in the hall would be the prison gaurd, maybe coming to take him away to be exacuted. that would explain the name on his chest.. maybe that's a metaphore for how the exacute him... Then he changes the words in the 3rd verse to say "Just let me continue to blame you." again I think refering to him blaming his mother.... I'm not sure if my intrepriations are correct... but if you think I've missed something or am totally offcourse.. please tell me.. I'll come back to check for new posts... Again.. this is just what I think, I could be wrong, and I probably am. |
