oh dear, it makes me cry. HEY EVERYONE LOOK AT THE NON PUNK KID WHO ENTERED! SHES AN EMO SHES CRYING!!!!! labels..gotta love them. the thing is, to all of you who hate pop music, lets spend time with emily the emo english brain here. "Pop", when used as a noun as a music type or adjictave to describe music and not used as a verb(i.e. POPping cherries) is the shortened form of the word POPULAR. so how is something POPULAR? MTV plays it, as does the radio. it gets spread around, more than a thousand people listen to it and the artist and record label make money. THATS IT! the prefix POP does not add any other connotations exept the one explained above. until now. singers like avril spegetti and pink have been ridiculing "pop" music, and making themselves..what, punker than thou, as illusion of safety stated above(your a genious, as usual, youll be the next justin sane)? they're only forming a mentality that contradicts itself, based on a dead mentality. punk was about unity..now its fashion. im going to cry again. its a contest to see who can be the most punk, statred in different clothing styles and how much you curse. its very shallow and demeaning. but then, so are guys, and we havent killed them yet..so i suppose this means this "competitave punk" mentality will last a while..the emo bids thee farewell |
