SOAD isn't very musically talented. A lot of their shit has like 5 layers of guitar on the album so it sounds like ass live. Both singers have good voices, and they're really original. Thats why I like SOAD. As for the meaning... I think its about trying to commit suicide because your fathers an asshole or something. The verses are talking about stuff this girl does before she kills herself. (This is all what I think anyways.) |

Since this album was about the serial killer Elizabeth Bathory, who used to torture, rape, and kill virgin servant girls... I would have to guess this is about one of her murders. This is my favorite CoF song. The guitar riff is cool, and when he stops and screams "Beneath the Howling Stars" at the breakdown, it sounds so fucking cool. |

The last part of this song is so awesome. It gives me such a great mental picture when of a ship of pirates or something that sail around destroying everything in sight. Then a huge storm comes in and when they say

This is my favorite AHC song too, but I think it sounded better on war of art than trepanation. I fucking think the singer for this band writes some of the best songs ever, he's just about up there with Dani from Cradle of Filth (not quite though). This band needs to stay more underground, I really don't want little new metal fucks getting obsessed with this band and getting introduced to more underground music. : - / |

I just want someone to tell me what makes this band (person?) so great? I think that all this emo music does is help keep whiny little bitches alive. I would rather have them all dead, rather than alive and putting shit like this all over the radio (not that the radio has much good music anyways...). Seems like some pathetic emo lyrics to me. People that are really suicidal do it right the first time. I'm sick of hearing about people that try to kill themselves by slitting their wrists. This band IS awesome. Thornendal is an amazing guitarist, he takes the simplest riffs and makes them so unbelievably heavy, and then adds crazy 4 finger tapping solos (or something) to them. Future Breed Machine is my favorite Meshuggah song, so I'll put the lyrics up. |

I think it's about a relationship turning to crap. He didn't think they were hanging on, he was trying to be an indivual and kept changing and that made his girlfriend like him less and they started to fall behind and get into fights. He didn't really notice how bad it was untill it was too late. The whole "lost in the film again" part is when he's looking at old pictures of them. "Watching a single frame When the wind begins." Thats the picture he notices her being more sad. I'm sure you can get the rest. This song reminds me of more happier times before me and my ex broke up, obviously that affected me a lot.
