While this is one of two Beatles songs that I am not extremely fond of, I can still tolerate this song (well, it's more of a random mixture of noises). Personally, I think they were just messing around with things. I have no real problem with this song though. I don't think that the Beatles tried to carry on with that stupid "Paul is dead" hoax. People just read way too much into things. |

John just liked to write nonsense stuff, it doesn't have any drug meaning or anything else like that. It is a great song, and people should stop criticising the Beatles just because the did drugs. |

No offense to you guys, but a lot of you are idiots! John Lennon clearly stated that he wrote this song because of his son's picture, and I don't see why anyone should doubt what he said. Yes, he did drugs, but he was open about, and he wouldn't secretly write a song about LSD. Don't you guys remember that Paul McCartney got himself in a mess because he stated that he had done LSD before? They did it, but they didn't lie about it. While John may have come up with some songs while being high, none of his songs are directly related to drugs. He didn't advertise drugs. Yes it is obvious that they were high while filming Magical Mystery Tour, but that doesn't mean that the movie is about drugs. Why can't people focus on the music instead of the fact that they had drugs. If any of their songs were written while they were high, who cares! That doesn't make any of their songs less genius. |
