Wait a second. I never said anything negative about the type of music that you or anyone else here listens to. I was just saying that there are different types of music for different people. I never said that I was careless or didn't care about issues going on in the world. You made that assumption. NSYNC is not the only music that I listen to, but when I do listen to it, I enjoy the hell out of it for what it's worth. If that makes me shallow, then so be it. And I idolize a life that glorifies making money and following trends? Sorry, you've pegged the wrong person. And my original post was not even directed towards you personally. It was to all the negativity in general. I love the way you laud your maturity over and over as if to convince yourself if not everyone else. And what decision is it you think that I've made that leads you to believe I've not discovered other music genres? Or are you speaking solely of the political genre of music? I would actually like that if I heard it, as I never knocked any type of music. Again, my only point was that the guys are talented, can write beautifully in my opinion, and should not be bashed by people who only know them by face-value. |

the song was inspired by a basketball game... imagine it being played at the beginning of one. it's about having a ball and just letting yourself go. the "raise the roof" and "bring down the house" are not supposed to be taken literally. they're slang terms for partying. get it? |

Talk about ignorance! Man, you guys have no clue as to what you are talking about. This irritates me to no end. If you don't like the group, then why in the hell are you on this page spending your precious and oh so valuable time bashing them? You might not think they are talented, but that's because you have no idea what they have overcome to get where they are today. You have no clue as to the writing talent that they have, and yes, they do have a lot. Especially JC Chasez who was mentioned earlier. It's obvious that this type of music is not your style or preference, but music isn't just for one type of people. Music is broad and as you know, different people have different tastes. So please, stop your bashing and come back with some valid points after you've gone out and bought each of their cds, listened to them completely, and read the liner notes so you'll know who's writing and producing these tracks. Their vocal talent is amazing and they would not be nearly as successful as they are today if they were not talented. These songs may not mean jack to you, but to someone, they do. You're judging a book by its cover, and for all those artists that you might love so much, I bet you did your research, learned more about them, and listened to all their songs before going to bat for them. So don't knock something or someone until you have a foot to stand on. Oh yeah, Happy 4th of July. |
