I believe that this song is dealing with an extremely important choice. I choice of life and death, suicide. He wants to die, but possibly not by killing himself. But having God do the dirty work for him. I believe he's struggling with himself now. Confussion has plagued him, and he doesn't know what he wants anymore. Thus the strong dynamics of the lyrics. If you listen to the music of the song i believe it fits perfect with the lyrics. Thrice is amazing and there is nothing more I can say. But I might be completely wrong with my interpertation. It just depends on what the writer meant by it. But this is how I see it and what it means to me. |

This song fantastic! The symbolism of betting on a loser is just awesome. The chorus, "Here's my heart just take it, I don't need it anymore." Those are just wonderful lines from a wonderful band. They have the perfect mix of pop punk with emo and hardcore - emo-core. It's awesome, just like this song and them! |

This song is a dedication to a good friend of mine and my brothers. His mother passed away about 4 years ago from now, and we always wanted to write a song for him. And now we finally found one we like. I just hope he likes it as well. And that this song will mean a lot to him. Because I couldn't even begin to understand what that must feel like but he is strong and he is staying strong. I wish him all the luck in life, although I am sure he does not need it. Because his heart will guide him to where he needs to be. |
