To me, I always thought about past relationships that have ended bad. For instance, this girl I dated for a couple months, we ended up mutually breaking up, and the chorus definitely makes me think that we both still think about each other: "Either way you turn, I'll be there Open up your skull, I'll be there Climbing up the walls" It's almost like we still think about each other...we're both "climbing up the walls" of each other's minds. |

This song is amazing. Well, the whole album is, really. I'm not too sure about the last word of the second line either, perhaps it's "dust"? That's what it sounds like to me anyways. "We will organize in Bethlehem. Able-bodied women and agnostic headstrong men." Haha, that is epic! This is classic anti-religion Jenny Lewis. Love it. |
