along with being about the "friends with benefits" situation, i think that this song is a lot about being in the heat of the moment. dave starts the song off by putting us in the setting: by a fireside with a storm raging outside. that sets a mood all on its own. and then they're eyes meet and they're both overcome with this desire "and in your eyes i see what's on my mind / you've got me wild turned around inside / oh and then desire see is creeping of heavy inside here" it can't be said any better than that. its crazy what people, even the best of friends, will do when caught in the moment |

to me this song is kinda like a contradiction. he says things like "when the radio's up ur face fades away / flicker flicker dimmer fade to black" which suggests that he's getting over her or at least wants to and thinks that he is. but then he goes and says "jump back to me anytime" meaning whenever u want me back come and get me cause i'll always have room for you. at any rate, this is such a great song and was awesome in Out Cold....Eve 6 is just so good |
