Awesome song, I love it to death. I think that some of you guys are kind of right about the meaning. I think it's about feeling alone, with no one to talk to, but then realizing that it's okay and you canbecome more optimistic, like tubesocks said. That's my opinion about the meaning, but other then that I just wanna say that I love this song!!! :) |

I love the song, soundtrack, movie, and book. Jon wrote the five "The Vampire Lestat" songs, including this one. He sings the vocals in the movie, but not on the soundtrack because of legal reasons. Korn has nothing to do with it. I agree that this is about Lestats relationship with humans. he doesn't want to hid anymore. |

This song remins me so much about this group of friends at my school who talk shit on me just because I'm different. I love this song! I can relate to it very much, like most of Garbage songs. It reminds me of a guy that I used to be frickin obsessed with and wouldn't even give me the time of day. Evenually I noticed that he was a jerk off and basically was like, "screw him". Now he's the one who wants me. Yeah, like that's gonna happen. This song rocks and it actually decribes things word for word about what happened to me. :) |

I think this song is about telling people what they want to hear, you know like those little white lies we tell people. We try to get them to be happy, and even if they are for that second, they end up sad again. Maybe it's because we lied to them...(in other words...if it makes you happy when I tell you a lie, it can't be that bad...but if it makes you happy, why the hell are you so sad?) |

I can't believe no one has commented this song! Anyway, I really love this song because it has a good message. "Behind closed doors" and "Don't let a soulmate pass you by" are my favortie lines because I think they're about someone being afraid to come out with their sexual preference.
