need4creed... if theres any band thats responsible for killing rock... its creed. theyre the backstreet boys of rock. so shut up. and bonzo, its quite obvious you havent listened to anything recorded after 1986. music changes, face it. this is what punk is today. also i'm sick of 'true punks' who say bands like sum 41 and green day arent 'punk' for reasons other than their music.
anyway now that thats outta my system... i also thought this sounded way too much like chop suey when i first heard it. but being a musician, i wanna know how many musicians there are who dont use ideas from other bands... its called influence. does anyone have any idea how many bands ripped off the beatles, or the sex pistols, or metallica or whatever. anyway i like this song... not as much as other sum 41 songs but its nice and heavy which is good. |

'She spreads her love' means that she's maybe a very loving person, and this guy is gonna take advantage of her or somethin like that. ok...... i beleive with a lot of what hopatrain said. i call myselft a catholic, and i do believe in God, Christ and everything else. However, the bible is very figurative and because all of the stuff in there is 2000 or more years old, theres no way you can believe everything in there. I also agree on the fact that God is not a single 'thing'. God is not anything we can understand. The truth is, people who dont believe in God or Yaweh or Allah or Vishnu or whatever you wanna call a higher being are fucked in life cuz they have no meaning or purpose. Heaven is not a place in the clouds where you walk into gates and st peter or whoever asks you what u did. Its more than that. Its also something we cant understand.
Ok now to the song i think that it does have something to do with God or somethin religious and David turning away from it. I dunno. I love the song though but the lyrics are waaay confusing. |

as i was saying, despite the fact that they did things totally different, they were still able to maintain their basic, unique style of music, which really makes them a great band and who cares if they become mainstream. it took them 10 years and 5 albums, not 2 months and 1 album, and i think thats why they've been able to produce such great music and not have every song sound exactly the same only with new lyrics. |

i am i guess a true olp fan. i own all five of their cd's and listen to them almost constanlty. every single olp cd is different than the other ones, yet they all link 2gether, so that when u listen to naveed and gravity, u can tell they're by the same artist, even though they now only have 2 original members. I dont care what everyone says about olp becoming mainstream just because thats what the public demands, its not true. the way they wrote, produced, recorded, and released gravity was totally different than their past 4 albums. |
