I'm not edge. In fact, I'm a user, but I respect the straight edge belief and lifestyle as long as ine is equally. Good song. |

| ...choking victim and leftover crack are the same damned band. they changed their name and got a new band member. one really cant be better than other seeing as to how they are the same and they play a lot of the same songs. shut the hell up. | |
| Against Me! – Pints of Guinness Make You Strong Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| shut the hell about "Supporting this" and "Supporting that." They're a great band, but you don't know people's financial situations. We live in a capitalist state, dude. The messages in this music are what fucking matters. If you've got the money to support it, do it, but if not... download their damn songs and fucking think about them. | |

| Disturbed – Prayer Lyrics | 23 years ago |

Religion is not for people who take it up for an easy life. The whole, "I'll be faithful to God and he will help me; if he doesnt then he must hate me or he's evil wah wah." Fuck that whole mindset into the garbage can wrapped in a fucking reeking baby diaper where it belongs. To whoever asked: Jews believe in the writings of the Old Testament and that they are the words of God through men. They do not believe Jesus Christ is the messiah; they believe the messiah has yet to come. They to not acknowledge the new testament as a part of their Bible. Now, I'm athiest/agnostic/nature-freak-boy-who-could-be- called-pagan-but-doesnt-want-the-witchcraft-stereotype. I used to be "christian" until i learned about what the religion meant, and how i made no sense what so ever. In my opnion, The ideas expressed and taught in the Bible are, for the most part, good teachings. They teach you to be a good person. The problem is, people see them as rules for salavtion. People really believe that there is a God, with a mind, floating up in the sky who breathed men with their bones to make his bread or something :) Did anyone not think that the stories told in the bible were similar to old fables? They teach you lessons, but have no literal meaning. I believe that God is Universal Existence. It has no form, body, mind, or anything remotely human. This natural existence of God could easily create a world. Big Bang, fucking single celled organisms form on rocks and shit, and they grow and evolve into more complex and complex life forms. You see, i believe the Bible is symbolism. I do not believe it was written by any "chosen" men. I think it was written by men similar to buddhists monks who had truly been enlightened. Enlightened beyond any point modern men achieve. Through that, they had touched God and found inner peace and happiness. They wrote teachings to show people how to find that inner love and happiness. That God. Because that is what God is. But honestly, God cannot be explained. It's like explaining what your soul or mind is. You cant. We dont know what these things are, yet we know they exist. God lives in our souls. It is our connection to the secrets of the world; enlightment. Notice I call God it, not him. Now, i'd also like to address all the brainwashed christians (note that i did not say all christians) here yelling about how God does no evil and that humans are the evil ones and blah blah shit fuck. Those are your beliefs. Dont force them on us like facts. No one is doing that to you. And furthermore, don't ask simple questions you should know about your own fucking religion. How can you believe in something if you don't even know what your talking about? You cant; your brainwashed. There is no pure goodness and no pure evil. There is a balance in everything. EVERYTHING! You will never find existence purely good or evil. Most physical matter has no attribute for good/evil. It is neutral, therefore balanced. Take the human mind, for example. Somethings it does can be concidered evil, but never completely. Never. You will not be able to come up with existence entire evil or good. It's not possible. I don't mean to state this like fact; it's my belief, but it's something I know in the depth of my soul. The thought came to me through meditation, which isnt much different than prayer for those of you who would critizise me for being an infidel. I apologize for the lengthiness. |

| System of a Down – Aerials Lyrics | 23 years ago |

oh, and too add to my post... small mind is reference to ignorance... not tripping Aerial has to do with being in the sky... flying. In this song, it's obviously refering to rising above small minded ignorance. (for those of you that dont understand: ignorant people dont have the capacity to except other ideas, so their mind is small.) I have nothing against mainstream music, although a lot of it disgusts me, but I hate getting on here to talk about a song i like that i heard on the radio, and if it's not by fucking Against All Authority are crass, everyone says every song is about drugs. drugs drugs drugs. trip acid, yeah that's great.. have fun, but there are people spreading a message that want to take your small minds, and turn them into minds that think and say, "you know, this is bullshit." They hope that when enough people can agree that "this is bullshit," the bullshit will change. If you want to fuck it up, get the fuck away. That's why I say politically active bands should stay underground. Sure, when they go mainstream they get their message out to more people, but then no one listens. If it's a movement though like hippie/punk/etc, people hold meaning to it and it actually means something. anyway, just some input. if you want o believe it's about tripping, delude yourself. |

============================== FOR THE PURPOSE OF CALLING ATTENTION ============================== This is fucking dumb. I'm not a big SOAD fan, but I heard this song on my citites' shitty rock radio station, and I wanted to know the lyrics. Anyway, This song clearly is not about drugs. The people in SOAD obviously have an opinion about the world, politics, and human-right. Listen to their songs about the prison system and etc. This song is about how everyone is blind to the way the word is. They drink from the water, and then put up their walls. constantly fighting and competeing among each other. It says people are one before and after the fall (some form of tragedy the people have to face ie: poverty, police brutality, corrupt government.) Everyone is so blind to the way the world works. They fall through the void stupidly like fucking idiots, but when they open their eyes they find the eternal prize. The understanding and the ability to fight back. Some would say ignorance is bliss, and sometimes i would agree, but SOAD has a point. I remember my life before i had found my eternal prize. |

| Sublime – Guava Jelly/This Train (Marley Medly) Lyrics | 23 years ago |

could have something to do with hopping trains :) I don't know if Brad ever lived a freeloader life, but with him being into punk as a kid I wouldn't be surprised. People hop trains traveling around meeting new people and hoping to find a better life somewhere else. |

| Sublime – What I Got Lyrics | 23 years ago |

Don't get angry at me for saying this.. just hear me out: Everyone needs to stop dwelling on Brad's death. It's been years. Yeah, it sucks that he's gone... but his death comes up in every fucking song posted here. Stop dragging his death out like the most important event on his timeline. I'm sure his relatives and friends get sick of seeing all the Sublime's fans talk about Brad being dead. He was a lot fucking better than that. The same thing goes with Nirvana and just about every band that has a massive fanbase that lasts after the end of a band due to a lead singer's death. |

| Oi Polloi – Nazi Scum Lyrics | 23 years ago |

this is a good song, but the message isn't that great. If some nazi goes out beating jews or blacks, how does some left-wing idiot justify that by "taking it to the street" and kicking the nazis ass. The violence is all the same. |

| Sublime – Pawn Shop Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| Well, for those of you that don't know anything about drug culture, there are lots of people addicted to really expensive drugs. Seeing as to how 99% of our population is not wealthy by any means, obtaining these drugs is a hard thing to do... Lots of junkies (not used as an insult) sell of stolen shit to pawn shops (Even their own shit) for drug money. My uncle stole my TV set to pawn it for crack. I love my uncle and my uncle loves me, but he's got a serious addiction. He's selling his life for dope at a pawn shop. IT could easily be about something relating to that. | |
