I think that this song explains how she used to think that her life was not hers to live… She felt that everyone else was in control. But then she met this person who taught her that she could shape her own future and she could “fly” as high as she wanted to (“you showed me I could change whatever came within these shallow days”). I think that she learned that mistakes should be left in the past, and that she is the most powerful person in her life. |
