I've had this cd for 2 yrs now.. and just really listened to this song.. kick ass song, aside from the part "And Sometimes Gentlemen Too".. kinda freaks me out.. not that I'm homophobe.. just that it doesn't fit the song at that point.

This song means so much to me, it describes my childhood, despite the true intent on the meaning of this song.. when I was 9 or 10 I lived in a single wide trailer, pretty damn poor, and my parents got in an arguement, and it turns out here's my mom, she's been cheating on my father. Then they go to court over who has custody of me, and they're neck - neck, a year passes by, and noone has custody of me.. then the court decides to put me in a foster home if they didn't come to some agreement. Noone came to an agreement, and noone would take me in, noone cared, I was all alone, then my grandfather stepped in and saved my life. He died one year later and I never got to thank him... I think about him all the time, he was my role model.. when I heard this song it took me back to those days when I was all alone, and when I was saved from a cruel fate, and I just started crying the first time I heard this song because it reminded me so much of my grandfather. I really don't even think it was meant to have a meaning, haha.. anyway it's a very abstract song, with an abstract meaning if anything. Or maybe it's just about some "alien" meaning a different class or group of people, which neither of them would normally get along with eachother without those 'feelings'... I'm just brainstorming here, but anyway, good song, I can't say it's the best of AAF, but it's a great song to pull you out of a sh!tty mood

to Stincubus01: This is because of most of the horny/angry/shallow young teenagers that listen to stuff like Korn/backstreetboys/Britney Spears. It's geared towards them, the young ones, and no offense to anyone.. or anything.. d'oh. Anyone, Awesome song, AAF deserves more credit, but they won't get it, because they're a great band. hahaha.. it sounds like that.. but it's actually just based on getting into an arguement with a loved one, and wishing they were dead, but then realizing that if they were to die, you'd be devastated. Got that off of an interview with Dryden on some site a long time ago
