I think this song is about the moral disintegration of our culture. Plain and simple. The line "we are the dead" might be a reference to 1984...its the first thing i thought of. Dustin is a genius.

This song is about his search for faith. The first verse is about how Davey always searched for, but could never find angels (a metaphor for religion), and later in the song he realizes that he has been lied to for all these years. He always wanted to believe, but can't bring himself to believe in something so false. I relate to this song so well. It's beautiful and tells my life story.

Probably the most beautiful song ive ever heard. Daryl vents about this girl throughout the whole album, and on the secret track, confesses to still loving her. All of the mean things he said earlier on the CD stemmed from his jealousy and the fact that he loved her so much, and he can't have her.

This song is definetely about the loss of thought and reason among popular culture today. Everything is so watered down and spread so thinly that everything has been reduced to a material, and nothing is left that really makes people think. (An excpetion being Thrice's lyrics and music.) An amazing song, with some amazing leads...the ones at the end make me hard...literally.

i think this song was probably written about society losing religious beliefs, but i do not believe in god, so whenever i listen to it i can easily apply it to the topic of government. it can be related to the fact that the government is feeding us all lies and working for its own economic benefit instead of for the good of the American people.
