but they didnt die in a bus accident. they died on the way to a weezer show, it was just them. and rivers didnt know them from high school, he met them in LA after the band had already formed and was still struggling with small gigs. and he wrote the song Mykel and Carli in return for a gift the girls gave the band when they got signed with Geffen, so i've been really confused about this song for awhile. i mean this song definately doesnt fit the "thanks for everything you guys rock!" persona, it definately seems like a "my best friends died and i'll never forget them". i think you have to look deeper, a less literal interpretation of the lyrics, but i'm not sure what's there. any ideas? |

everything about the "awesomeness" of this song is so true. as for the clarity VS BA issue, i think its ridiculous to compare the two. j.e.w. is an amazing band that continues to grow, adapt, and broaden their horizons. i could never choose either album as the better, because they're just so different, but both so damn amazing. |

i saw them at river rave too. i was wicked pysched when they played some clarity songs, and almost died when they played No Sensitivity (my personal fav). but the crowds there sucked. cant wait to see them at the palladium july 23rd...
