i agree w/ shea person but well he hates some of the things you ppl have said... u don't need to swear everyother word. It is true that God loves you but he won't let you into heaven (which i believe this song was written about) unless you see how horrible using language like that really is and you ask him to forgive you. |

whoo, lot's of comments, i'm not even going to try to respond to all of them... But i do want to defend my beliefs...
about gays: the Bible says that homosexuality is an abomination to God, enough said... Johnathen you can't call yourself a christian and say you think the Bible is wrong. you say that homosexuality is a birth defect it's not, we were not created that way. and if the Bible can be wrong there why can't Romans (full of basic christian doctrine) be wrong? or why can't the four gospels be wrong? either you're a very immature christian who has alot of maturing to do or you're not saved. You can't say the bible could be wrong, the Bible is infallible.
about Christians: 1. the crusades was a catholic movement and i don't think catholics can believe the things they do and be saved and i know many catholics and their faith does nothing in their life so don't throw the crusades or the priest scandal at me as proof christianity is bad. Also yeah i am close minded i believe what God has told us in his word and if i'm told something that goes against his word i don't believe it so if that is close minded then yeah i am closeminded. And Jesus Christ the son of the living God (and God himself) was not gay or bi, the very suggestion is an abomination to God and yeah Joseph wasn't Jesus' natural father but Jesus had many half brothers and sisters
About islam: islam is arabic for submission and for any islam to truly submit to allah it is required for them to obey the Koran. the koran says to kill the 'christians and jews' so actually the fanactiscism of ppl like Yassir Arafat and Osama Bin Laden more closely matches true islam then what many muslim's in america practice. i'm not saying it is exactly how mohammed wanted muslims to act but it more closely matches the koran then how the american muslims act. (i'm not islam but i have done research on the subject.)
about yelling at OPD: the Bible says to love your enemies and respond w/ love, enough said...
about God's love: God loves us no matter what but because of our sin he can't let us into heaven. he can't look at sin. homosexuality is sin, therefore God can't have any person who is gay or bi in Heaven. if a gay or bi becomes a christian and leaves that life of sin (stops being gay or bi) then he can. But if you go through your life w/out ever trusting christ as savior you will burn in Hell for all eternity. there's no end to it. I'm not trying to offend anyone by saying this, actually i'm doing what the Bible says it says to 'love your enemies' and i can't say i'm following that command unless i share the gospel with you, if i don't that means i'm doing nothing to try and keep you from going to hell and just standing by watching someone ready to burn isn't being very loving. |

i'm not questioning their salvation either i think it's amazing the depth some of their lyrics have considering how young they are but at the same time it bothers me that they're willing to throw the world 'hell' around like that, hell is a place of horrible torment for those who don't trust Christ to save them and the fact that they are willing to throw that word around like that is disappointing. |

that's what i was saying, everybody struggles w/ different things. Just because u have a tough time not doing something doesn't mean you're not saved. But if you do that all the time, fell no conviction over it and don't care about it you're not saved. I understand ppl struggle w/ different sins but it shouldn't be habitual if you're a christian. I didn't say if you struggle w/ your temper you're not saved. If you're temper is something you can't control though, you should examine your life and see if you are saved. |

blink fan why do u even go to church? your wasting your time, if it's not making a difference in your life it's a waste of time. and about what i said about 'to the christians who respond by yelling back' the reason i said that is because before i was saved there was still a lot of christian music i liked but i wasn't saved and if anyone said something bad about them i just got yelled at them basically... but i've noticed eversince i've been saved i never get mad at someone for saying something against me or something i like i can't help but respond that way. The reason i said that is because if you claim to be a christian but you hate your enemies either A. your going directly against what Jesus told us to do (matthew 5:44) or B. your not truly saved. maybe your saved and it's something you struggle w/ just like i'm saved but i struggle w/ pride. But if your saved and you don't feel convicted about that you need to ask yourself why not? |

i'm sorry you've had bad experiences w/ christians too, i don't know what the situation was but next time a christian shares it w/ you plz don't get mad. because christians are commanded to share the gospel w/ others and to love everyone, we believe that if you don't accept Christ as your savior you will spend eternity in hell. now if we as christians are supposed to love everyone but we watch ppl go through life unsaved and don't do anything to try to keep them hell then we aren't loving them and that is disobeying God so when christians share the gospel w/ you remember, we are doing what we are commanded to do. I'm sorry that "christians" have treated you poorly. many ppl claim to be saved but actually are not. i wish you knew what you were saying blinkfan your "heaping burning coals on your head" i'm not angry about what you're saying just sad that you would respond to it that way (and as opposed to what has been said, creed is not a christian band read the info stuff at creed.com) the christian bands are trying to encourage believers and share the truth with unbelievers.
