I read somewhere that this is the song that Alan Webb (kid who brok Jim Ryun's 30+ year old highschool mile record of 3:55 with a 3:53, and is basically the messiah of American distance running) listens to before he races. I don't particularly like this song, but I can understand why runners would, b/c it has a steady rhythm(sp?). |

I've been pondering the meaning of this song ever since I bought a copy of Zooropa back in 1995. I think it's about a guy that likes a girl who is unsure about herself and gets involved in alot of bad stuff/abusive relationships. But she doesn't even notice the guy who likes her, but he's sortof like her guardian angel. Which is why I also think the music video for this song has a lot of angels in it (does anyone else think the video strikes a resemblence to the movie 'City of Angels'?...only it came out like 4 years before the movie...U2 is amaaaazing) |
