Yes Kurt did say this song was about little kids with cancer, but you have to remember that Kurt loved to confuse what he would call "fake fans." He would say a song was about a certain subject but it wouldn't be just to throw off the "jocks." The song is about Cancer kids and it is about Courtney also. Also Kurt was not a Buddhists. Courtney was Kurt was not. Also Courtney I think is a very misunderstood person. Money hungry and attention she does crave but no one should believe she married Kurt for money. She met Kurt way before Nirvana ever made it big. No one not even Courntey could have seen into the future and saw what Nirvana was going to become. |

| It has to do with media. Vanity Fair, MTV and every media outlet was tearing into Kurt and Courtney's personal life and Kurt felt like he didn't have a single moment in private anymore. The lyrics "my favorite inside source" was a stick at Vanity Fair who used quotes from "inside sources" about Courtney being on herione while she was pregnant. | |

First off Courtney had nothing to do with this song. Kurt wrote this song before he even met Courtney. This is a direct quote from Kurt, "It's a cleansing theme where I'm trying to get all my bad evil spirits outof me and drinking Pennyroyal tea would clense that away." You have to drink gallons of the stuff to give you a abortion. I personally think this song has something to do with his stomach also. Obviously with the pains Kurt experienced he had trouble sleeping hence the lines: I'm so tired I can't sleep I'm anemic royalty I'm a liar and a theif I'm anemic royalty I'm on warm milk and laxatives Cherry-flavored antacids Just my humble opinion though. |

| I think the backup is just Dave's voice redubbed over it. Trust me you don't want to hear Chris try to sing it isn't good. Also another interesting side note, on this song Kurt played drums, Dave Bass and Chris guitar. | |

| Although I don't know if Kurt personally knew the Vaseline's he was a admitted fan. This is a variation of a old Christian song that the Vaseline's redid a little to do it as Kurt put it on Unplugged, "but we do it the Vaseline's way." | |
