I came to think of something today.. that this is about the class differences.. The first verse part is from the high class people's view. How they're sad even though they have a lot of money and stuff. The second verse part is from the low class people's view. How they're unhappy because of the class system. They have to do shit jobs for shit pay, while the high class get away with nothing. The first part of the bridge just shows who does the work. The second part shows how the high class think. For the chorus, I have no idea.. That's my two pennies, anyway.. |

OK. Many clever thoughts here, and I'm probably completely off the map, but I'll kick in my opinion too. I think it's not mocking education and scholarship in general, but the american way of doing it. The american education system yes, but also how they try to "learn" everyone else how to live, and how to be. They want to make the whole world american. Just a thought that came to my mind. Then, shimmying might to... to do "american stuff". |

I visited a SoaD-page once... All the lyrics was there, and a comment on each song by the band, telling the meaning of it. They wouldn't explain what Aerials is about, though. They said we'll have to figure it out on our own. Shit I didn't put that URL in my favorites! Ah bah. Many clever thoughts here, btw. |
