sorry but i had to laugh at that..'emo' is a bastardized term..i think it was made up by mass media to categorize a certain sound of music..i dont believe 'emo' even exists. the get up kids, bright eyes, dashboard confessional..none of them sound even remotely alike, why compare them? and better yet..why make fun of someone for listening to something they enjoy? music is whatever you want it to be, its interpreted so many different ways by so many different people, that its just dumb to argue a genre, if you want to think a band is 'emo', then so be it, its your opinion..no one can change it...but as for me...i dont believe in that stuff |

despite what others may think..conor writes music for himself..and no one else

so for those who think conor's music wouldnt stand up in the real world..it doesnt even matter, because conor doesnt care...
some may think conors lyrics are cliched and boring, but a lot of us dont...I Am Not Amused, how can you say we're not real music fans? this music means as much to us as another band may to you..it may be a different style, but it still leaves the same effect on us |

wow..im surprised to see bright eyes in the top 100..let alone number one..i dont know whether to be happy or not, conor deserves recognition for amazing song writing, and such a beautiful, emotional voice..but at the same time, i want him all to myself, and im sure others do, too..ive been reading the comments others have made, you may think the song is horrible..but i think its absolutely beautiful, conor has such a unique voice..it conveys so much of what he's feeling..and i like that, its like nothing else out there...you cant judge bright eyes by one song, you have to listen to others before you can accuratly decide whether or not you like it...there are many great songs by bright eyes, its not too hard to take the time to download a few others..and if after hearing them you decide you dont like it..dont say it 'sucks'..because no matter what you may think, i guarantee that someone else likes it and they dont think it 'sucks'..its ignorance like that that pisses me off..just because its not your type of music doesnt mean it 'sucks' ..there are so many different sounds out there, and so many different people who are willing to hear them, that no matter what type of music it is..someone is bound to like it |
