| i know this is a sad, love type song. but i think the actual lyric "i just want something i can never have" if referring to something besides the "love he lost" or, wants. i'm thinking it's more of a "i just want something i can never have, as in not being depressed" just a theory, though. talking as a song-writer, myself here. actually going to put some of my lyrics up, soon. | |

jimmy eat world got their name like this: one of the band member's wrote on his brother's bedroom door "jimmy eat world" with a little picture of him eating the world, (i guess they were in a fight) and that's how the name came about. |

| i always figured the song was about the pigs/swine in the bible. in the bible pigs are called swine, and are used for offerings, and etc. there is a passage where jesus exorcised a man, and the demons that were in him fled into the swine, and they in return ran off a cliff. i think that has more to do with the song than cops. it's definately not cops. | |
