I do agree w/ quite a few posts on this page, but for me...this song perfectly describes the deterioration of my relationship w/ my ex... I would try to complement her and just generally be sweet to her, but she would never take it to heart... and her being a quiet girl, would leave me utterly immersed in "awkward silence"... at one point I realized that it was over on her prom night (commence awwww's) when I looked at her and realized that she would never look at me the way I looked at her. it was soon after that that I heard this song again while going through my "i have a failed relationship so I have to listen to emo" stage, and it hit home more than ever. and I then realized that I had to "forget "you and me" and get a decent night's sleep." |
