Listening to these lyrics - the meaning of the song is pretty obvious, and is dealing with something that a lot of people can relate to. In my opinion, this song is about him seeing a girl but wanting someone else, possibly an ex, who is also seeing a different guy. He is not happy in his present relationship, and feels depressed and blah blah blah - basically he wants the other girl back. I personally can relate to this song VERY well... and I'm glad a band has put out such a heavy version of ... "heartache" , LATER |

This song hits me hard. When I first heard it I couldn't believe how much I related to it. My dad left my mom, brother and me for alcohol. Not a goodbye - not anything. In the music video, when the son trys to kill himself... I feel for that too, because I've been battling self mutilation and suicidal thoughts/tendancies ever since my dad ditched us for booze. This song means shitloads to me... I listen to it every time I'm pissed at my dad, or thinking about him and what he's putting us through. It helps out. I'm not a huge Nickelback fan, but this song is definitley a good one. |
