Everyone seems to be partial to the "...and I hang like a star, fucking glow in the dark..." line but what gets me about this song is this line:
"You're not really sure
What you're doing this for
But you need something to fill up the days..."
I feel like that's all I'm doing in my life now, looking for things to keep me occupied so I don't have to think about my problems. I've gotten myself in too deep, I think, and I'm really not sure what I'm doing it for anymore. Conor has a way of writing his songs in such a fashion that everyone can find something in them to relate to and feel as though it was written for them alone.
Easily one of my favourites from him. |

I know that this isn't what the song is about at all...but these lines struck me:
"I don't care if it hurts, I want to have control
I want a perfect body, I want a perfect soul."
It makes me think of anorexia or any eating disorder...when you have an ED, you don't care if you're starving...it's about controlling some sort of aspect in your life. It is a struggle to obtain the "perfect body" but as well, the "perfect soul".
Just my two cents. |

I think it's quite obviously about an S&Mish relationship...he's the submissive in the relationship but she only has as much control as he's willing to give her...it's a consensual power exchange (he's saying he likes the things she does to him and she likes controlling him so they both get what they want.) They both know they don't really control the other, that there isn't love there. |

This and 4am are easily the best songs off of the Clumsy CD. I love this song, it gets me in the mood to just rock out and have fun. It's talking about society today, the future generation and how we've given up all of our simple values. It's saying how much harder it is to grow up in this age then it was a few decades ago. |

This is one of my favourites (the other one being Somewhere Out There) off of the new CD. Doesn't compare to the older stuff but is good nonetheless. It's nice and mellow and makes me feel sad (but in a good way!) I see it as a guy who's willing to do anything for the girl, he'd give her the world if he could, but she needs to find the strength within herself first. |

Oooh, I really like this song. It really gets me in the mood, heh. I can totally relate to it, the lyrics are similar to a situation I'm in right now. They have a really twisted relationship where love's not even a factor, they're just using each other for their own pleasure. Awesome song. |

This song is incredible. From the melodic guitar to Raine's powerful vocals, this song conveys so much meaning. It makes me think of all the people I've ever left behind or drifted apart from. Also reminds me of a really good friend who will be leaving after this summer, I know he needs an escape from this town and I hope he doesn't forget me after he's gone. |

A song I wish I would have had months ago. The perfect encouragement to look forward to the future and stop worrying about what you can't change. |

I know that most of Creed's song have Christian elements in them. I can see where everyone's coming from when they say that this one isn't any different, but I believe that almost all their songs can be interpreted in a lot of different ways. For me, this song talks about suicide and a person's struggle to hang on. It's a beautiful song. |
