I like this song a lot, especially with now knowing a good interpretation of the meanings. The synths don't annoy me either, it's good to hear it these days when it isn't so popular. Now my question is why all of you can't just stop with harassing their look. Materialistic needs these days are overwhelming and are consuming our society. Maybe someday a lot of you will come to see that music is about what's being expressed through the melodic beats, etc., and through the lyrics. This is like the Avril Lavigne thing all over again, just in a different genre. Yet I still fail to understand why people can't put the artists' looks past them and just give it a listen, it isn't half bad. Most of you people wouldn't give me a second look if you passed me in the streets. I probably just look like some prep, but that is only because I don't see the need of making myself commercially different or materialistically different. I'd rather outwit people and leave what I say as the last word, hopefully they'll change their mind about first impressions about what I look like because how I express myself-through words. Pardon me if that made no sense, I'm still trying to wake up, yet I do believe it had a lot more to say than those who were previously bickering. |

I'm not here to diss this song, I'm here to love it. Though I do have something to say about the punkers who think people like Pink and Avril are better. I can admit that Pink does have a couple good songs, but the thing is..she didn't write them. This song is conceived out of pure emotion and the singing depicts that. No it isn't sung, by some prodigy or an opera singer that you can't beat, but it is song with the real and raw emotion of desperation mixed with love, and I'm cool with that. Avril on the other hand, is another great artist. She is young (17) and knows enough that she should write her own music and play an instrument to receive respect. With that, I can give her respect..and also because she's from Canada, though don't get me wrong that isn't my main reasoning for appreciating Avril. Yet back to Bright Eyes, my ex introduced me to them and he is a guy that loves artists that aren't too well known, though it does seem that Bright Eyes is getting its acknowledgement that it deserves. And so I think this song should be respected enough for the utter eloquence in the words and emotions that have been expressed. People may think that the song sounds horrible, especially when you're listening to it instead of just reading the lyrics..but this website is all about the lyrics and more people should realise that. Maybe I've gone overboard on it, but this is just the way I react to a heartfelt and relatable song that's being trashed. |

After reading the prior comments, I can definitely see the side of this towards a gay couple. I for one knows how it feels, because I'm not sure what I am..though I definitely love guys. Still we must all have felt a connection, that is just a bit beyond one's friendship, etc., I'm not sure if any of the guys are gay, but I'm pretty sure Alex and Aaron aren't..On their band journal, Alex has mentioned going out with their girlfriends. Regardless of which, we should love them either way..They are extremely talented and so much more. Also, even if they look faggish, that means nothing, because looks can never take the place over facts..So you guys should stop classifying that way. |

Despite the great implications towards death I still feel this is towards distance or a breakup. It fits for me with my only ex I've had. I don't deserve my scars that I have mentally (though it could easily be physically in other peoples' cases) and I don't deserve this guilt that lays on me. Then how he says there is only time now that stands against us, it seems to refer to how the clock is winding down towards when everything will have been worn out and no longer able to function. Like a relationship can receive too many blows, that make it lose the foundation it once had. It's like maybe that once last blow to their relationship was some important marking in them, like a prom or something more serious. If it was then it would easily explain the transition about how he'd jump at the chance for one more date, and one more slow dance-because he just doesn't want to let go. A lot of times when it gets to this point too hard to even speak to each other. In my case, I remained a very close friend with him but it's never been revived. And so if I were able to touch this guys hand when it still had life in it, would be so relieving. Because my situation right now is, I can't turn back, there is no friendship, and he IS suicidal..Which is no longer something I can cure, though I used to be able to. So as easy this song is to display an unwanted death, I think it might also be the end to a traumating breakup from a long term relationship as well. |

What the hell is this shit? I'm not sure if I'll live through this night. I just beared through "I.M. Me" on my playlist and are now forced to scrub out my ears and listen to goth music to get that out. *scrubs vigorously* Now I'm listening to THIS Britney?!? I must admit, she has a couple decent songs thatI can bear to hear..but I've seen this music video. Pretty shitty if I do say so myself and the song? I don't think you can classify it as that. It's way to demeaning to that subject, she is also just mumbling the words in a raspy way, to turn on some peverted teenage guy and to get herself all heated cause that fake ho ain't getting any.
