So were they driving and started playing that and forgot how to play it (for some reason) so they just started playing this to tribute it? I just got back from the DMB show in Pittsburgh, PA like an hour ago (OMG awesome awesome awesome!!). He did Everyday and it was cool, because they made it really jazzy and took out most of the words and ended every phrase with "...everyday". It was fun and threw everyone off at first, but everyone seemed to enjoy the jazzy beat and I sure did. PM me if anyone else has heard this version. |

I always looked at it as KungFuChica has --a girl wants to get out of a place/moment/thing, but can't. Probably a mental bar more than anything else. I get that from the "crazy man." He's telling her to follow her dreams and she considers the idea impossible and calls him crazy. An udderly brilliant idea. This is my absolute favorite song, even though I think I like the Lillywhite version better because it seems more extreme. |

I loved that he spelled it grey actually. Grey/gray is one of those stupid words u can spell whichever way. I dunno why, but I usually use grey in deep moments and would in songs too. Does that make sense? I dunno. I hate interchangeable words and try to separate them...grey I think of more as a grey-green and gray just plain gray with no tints, but that's just me. |

I dunno y but I'm the mood to fight with the "it shouldn't be on the radio" statement. Yes I understand that it's not the same and I hate radio cuts too, but in many cases (especially in my case) I can't download MP3s, and am too poor to go roaming around the country for music I like. If it hadn't been for VH1 I never would have heard about it. I was flipping through channels and went straight out to get the cd because it sounds like DMB in some ways and I LOVE them. This is the kind of music I'm constantly trying to find along with other sounds but since I have no other way, radio surfing is sometimes my only way. |

I dunno y but I feel I should defend VH1 because that list was done by other famous artists so if u want someone screwed it should be them....anyway, we had been talking about wars all year in history and on he second to last day of school he said something I've always wanted to hear from him. "The best way to teach you about what people were really feeling at the time is for me to shut up." And he passed out lyrics to songs (including this one) and played them for us. |

This is one of my favorite DMB songs. I'm not quite sure why, but I just get a feeling from it. I liked Lillywhite better tho because it kinda made things more extreme in her mind, and when you hit a mood like this, you're mind hits extremes. Both r really good tho and I really hope he plays this at the concert I'm going to (2 weeks!!!). |
