Think about it... kurt saw how famous he had gotten. he even had spit a loogie on a cupple fans that just wanted him so sign NVM. But he didnt realize the extent of it. like 12 years after that song was fisrt writen and recorded that there would still be fans of him. Kurt wrote this song about a lot of things. the tittled came from then he was partying with a bunch of chick rockers. he was at the timedating one of the head girls for a mag called riot grrl. She Wore Teen Spirit. One of her friends and kurt had been talking about musical revalutions. They got quite drunk and kurts gril friends friend then wrote "Kurt Smells like Teen Spirit." on the wall. He took it as he could lead people. One of the origanal Lyircs was "Who will be the king and queen of the out cast teens." He saw him self and the chick he was dating as. but soon she left him and we found him self ;looken for love and met her.
