The more and more I listen to this song I get different feelings and thoughts. The first was that his partner had left him and he had to live in a hotel room. With no friends to help comfort him in his time of need. Forcing himself to live from day to day. The other aspect that I see from the song is that touring can be difficult on a relationship, being afraid that his girlfriend would consider leaving him because he is never around. So he is afraid to come home to find that she has left him. Hotel rooms being his only friend basically meaning that that is all he has when he's not at home. The ending of the song is him giving up just to be at home with his wife/girlfriend.

These guys are great. Their whole album "From One" kicks ass. I recently saw these guys up in Northampton Massachusetts at a local club. It was the most energetic show I've been to at that venue. The crowd was amazing. Once this song hit, the crowed when nuts. The WHOLE floor of the venue turned into a massive mosh pit. It is amazing the amount of energy these guys have when on stage.

This song means a lot to me. I myself have had 2 good friends pass away (one due to cancer and the other suicide). The song really resembles feelings i've had since then. I wish I could see or speak to them one last time and tell them goodbye. I miss them.

Staind – Excess Baggage Lyrics

This has got to be my all-time favorite Staind song. The accoustic sound of the guitar and the lyrics are overpowering. The song I feel talks about depression in a fashion. Depression makes people generally shy around others. Makes them hide how they are feeling around others. This is a long which most people should be able to relate with in one way or another. The feeling of depression is common amongst all. Or if it is not depression directly, maybe the loss of a loved one. Some kind of feeling of rejection or sorrow.

Cold – Bleed Lyrics

This song has a lot of meanings to myself personally. I believe both Scooter of Cold, and Aaron of Staind both have a VERY unique ability of expressing deep feelings into songs which most people can relate with. Their voices both are similar but very different. The combination of Scooter and Aaron on this song makes it that much more powerful and moving. Now the song itself I feel expresses ones love for music. No matter what happens to someone in their life, music is a key to everything. Music is what practially everyone can relate to. It is expression in more of an artistic form. Being able to relate to a song like this shows that you have a commitment to something, it doesn't have to be music. It shows that they are willing to give up everything for their love of what they do or love of what they have.
