Hello everyone, mudvayne fans. I disagree with most of you guys. The concept of L.D. 50 is about experimentation with Pyschedelic drugs, the risks and benefits of them. The song descibes the intense emotions and feelings you feel after dosing with one of these phychedelics. The song tells about how authorities and common people think of the drug users as dirty, people who would be "beggin' for your fuckin' change". But, the drugs actually help one get in touch with themselves, and one is all alone yet very in touch with themselves. Also, the song declares truthfully that our current society pulls the shades over our eyes becaues they know "internal light can be blinding". Mudvayne nows that this is wrong, it is obviously wrong for someone to go to jail for an innocent act like taking phychedelics. It is your own mind, body, and spirit. NO ONE has the right to put you in jail for something that affects no one but yourself. The CD reflects many of the words of Terence McKenna, a physchedelic researcher and historian who supports mushrooms as a catalyst for human evolution. Read his book, "food of the gods" for more info, it totally influenced the CD. As for the so called "son of christ" up there, i was a christian too, and NOTHING is more refreshing then seeing the TRUTH through mushrooms, finding meaning and dissolving the ego, also seeing the threads that christianity is built on, If it works for you it's fine, but be open minded on not fundamentalism. Also, Christians do NOT say the shit that that dude was saying. Insencerity is the most disgusting of all emotions. |
