This song is just HARDCORE, flat out...It's screaming to go after your dreams, but if you don't make it, it's ok as long as you knew you gave everything you possibly could, because the beuaty is in the fight, not the prize. The song is aptly entitled "Ali Vs. Frazier because of their first fight, known as "The Fight of the Century". They were both unbeaten champions , although Ali was stripped of the belt because of his refusal to fight in Vietnam, and the fight lasted 15 rounds before Frazier knocked Ali out. |

To go along with the Elvis/Johnny Rotten comments, After Elvis' death in '77, Rotten was quoted as saying something to the extent of "Elvis was dead before he died, as his gut was so big it cast a shadow over rock'n'roll in the last few years. Our music is what's important now." If anything, Neil most likely took the idea for the song off this quote. |
