Radiohead – We Suck Young Blood. (Your Time Is Up.) Lyrics 22 years ago
I agree that this is not about "sucking blood" literally, but in some way or the other a social commentary on the impact society can have on a person; wearing them out, beating them down, in essence "sucking" the "young blood" from them (wearing them down).
Even better, there is an underlying idea of the loss of innocence. What this may be about may not be as shallow as society wearing you down, but the corruption of "young blood," which could signify innocence. My impression of the final verse is that in the narrator's search for young blood [innocence] he states "our veins are thin," and "our rivers are poisoned," as if he has not had "young blood" in quite some time, and cannot find any more.
Accepting my theory on this song, the delivery is outstanding. Dark undertones and implicit desperation make me think of being stranded in a desert without anything to drink, as this narrator, in his search for innocence, is stranded in society without anything innocent around him.
This song is definitely my favorite song on HTTT. The way Thom sings... so creepy, so dark, so RIGHT. What makes Radiohead the best band in the universe is that Thom's voice is not just a "voice..." it has as much, in my opinion more, importance as the guitar, drums, bass, FX, etc. in making the music what it is; exemplified by this song.

Radiohead – Sail to the Moon. (Brush the Cobwebs Out of the Sky.) Lyrics 22 years ago
Lyrics are wrong--replace "and fall to the sun" with "and how much did it cost?".
Nevertheless. The combination of the guitar and piano definitely make it a very mellow "moonlit" effect, like the feeling you get falling asleep in bed.
Not my personal favorite on HTTT, but definitely one of the best: the lyrics have the intuitivity and complexity of Radiohead, and the music definitely fits the surreal sound so common to Radiohead's music.

The Faint – Sealed Human Lyrics 23 years ago
Along the lines of Cars Pass in Cold Blood, I love the reference to the impatience and seeming unempathy to accidents in transit.

The Faint – Cars Pass in Cold Blood Lyrics 23 years ago
Perhaps one of the most disturbing and uncomfortable moments in my life is when my mother pulled up next to a crash site where three 15 year olds were lying dead on the side of the road. The scene itself wasn't as disturbing as my mother's seeming impassiveness at their death, and her misplaced interest in the site.

The Faint – Agenda Suicide Lyrics 23 years ago
I love the imagery and allusion to "homes." I wonder if perhaps the meaning of the word extends not to just a lavish (and ultimately obscure) lifestyle, but to the idea behind family and to the ideal "American" family, in the "Partridge family"/"Leave it to Beaver" sense; I am turned on to the idea from the line "makes the common house a home."
