There is definately something about he seems angry but then it has the part with wings...I don't know. And then the at least we're still friends, at least we're still alive gets to me because I do the whole well lets look to the bright side, when there ISN'T a bright side. I love this song so much. |

This song makes me cry! I also read it's about anorexia (which is why it makes me cry). I was thinking the "to see her own reflection was like squinting in the sun" was with how with anorexia you have a warped sense of what you look like, so she didn't really see herself. I don't think anyone else will follow this but oh well :) The wings line is what gets me. Definately my favorite STD song. |

This is definately my favorite song by the Strokes. I listened to if for two days straight when I seriously felt like dying and now it's a comfort song. When I feel like crying I put it on and I just forget I guess. |

I love this song. It's one of them that you don't like until you listen to the words. The words aren't even all *that* wonderful. "So when you’re dancing through the wardrobe
Do the anorex – a go-go " those lines are the ones that make me love this song SO much. Green Day doesn't have a lot of depth so there's really not so much that this song means to me as more of it's one that I turn on when I need music to listen to. |
