i agree with AeroLed on how this song might or might not of been about pot and the only way we know for sure, is to ask him.
i also agree with Goodmorningmisterben.
"every time I plant a seed, he say 'kill them before they grow'" for me, that phrase makes me think about how everything he and his people did/do the goverment stops them before they get to far. because he has sung about how the goverment scorns them and makes them live in poverty. so that might be another meaning of that line. but of course there can be many meanings and thats another beauty of Bob's music.

maybe.. just my guess.. he doesn't like how his people work and work for the goverment and what they get in return is hate, scorn, poverty, and being brainwashed while they get educated. And i guess he wants to chase them outa town and get a better goverment so these things don't happen to his people. |
