the end is a straight up sample from DFA. i like to think of samples as a mini-tribute or homage or something. and considering DFA is a fav, i love the end. i think mr kath did it to piss people off, in part, though... you're just expecting such a beautiful ending and then BAM! but that's punk. and this band is probably the closest electronica will ever come to punk. |

i always thought that it was about a young guy who fell in love with a whore. the whole "if you spin your love around.../you may find your love is gone". and also with the "with this ring i wed thee true". something about being so dedicated to this girl who doesn't realize it. by the way... ruby... that's sort of a hooker's name. plus the whole misspelling of "through" to "thru". kind of adds to the aura of lower class prostitution. whatever. i don't think that corgan wrote all of these songs intending us to understand them. being a recorded musician myself, i think that most artists don't have meanings in their songs. i certainly don't... most of the time. beautiful lick. even better when played live. |

You guys are all retarded. In an interview he said himself that it was because of his interest in sci fi. It's a song about walking on the bottom of the ocean. It came to him in a dream. It was written backstage at "The Uppercut Boxing Club" on boxing day (the day after christmas). He played it in the dressing room and Chas Chandler(producer) said to finish it. He only had the main riff down. He played it that afternoon. It was issued in Britain as the Experience's second single. In March 1967 it earned the group its second UK top five song. It was at one point number 3. I don't know if the dream he had was a result of hallucinagins or what, but he saw it in a dream. He said so himself SO THERE! |

Tulip City is in Holland Michigan The band is from Grand Rapids Michigan. I live in Saugatuck Michigan, about 10 minutes from Holland and 30 from Grand Rapids. It is called Tulip city becuase it is known for it's Tulip Time festival which is filled with carnys and people in dutch outfits with wooden shoes. Everyone there is Dutch hence all the Dutch stuff. I think that this murder case was fabricated though. |

Dear Everyone, I have heard this song on the radio that I think is rush. It is not this song but I think it is rush because of the high-pitched voice, either that or led zeppilin. I don't really know the words because you can't tell from this guy's high pitched voice. It starts out with a bass playing three different notes in sets of two but in between the two notes there is a rest, the notes go down and when they have reached the third note a three beat guitar riff plays. This IS Tool's best song. Oh, ya know that whisper in the beginning; it is saying Jungian (as in the theory). Which is what the title and song is refering to. But another thing with the title is that "46 & 2" is also the (people who read sheet music will get this) time signature; in other words there are 46 beats per measure and the 1/2 note gets one beat. One more thing that occured to me is that if you turn the six in 46 upside down the number is 49 which is a square number (bare with me) and as we all know, square numbers have to do with multiplication and if you multiply the 2 by itself you get 4, so it would be changed to 49 & 4 and they are both square numbers. And, as the song says the guy is getting bigger and better or also more SQUARE. Deep isn't it? |
