This song is about Bono. I'm not even kidding, that's why the line "Thank God it's him instead of me" is in there. Remember when they remade that horrible Christmas song and Justin sang the line "Thank God it's them instead of me," but Bono didn't like the way he did it and insisted that they use the old recording? im not going to go into a full dissection of every line piece by piece, but i think this song is comparing the Armenian Genocide to the Crusades. The Genocide was a huge deal because half a million people were killed and the Turkish government now claims it didnt happen at all. Go to the SOAD website to see their near-obsession with the genocide. Also, the song PLUCK is about the genocide. |

why does SOAD think jesus/god is female? in this song, obviously, serj says "her name was jesus", "her philosophy", etc. and in "Jet Pilot" he says "my source is the source of all creation, HER discourse..." i dont get it. |
