| Sunny Day Real Estate – Grendel Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| This is one of those songs that after I listen to it I'm left wondering "What just happened?". It's so layered and deep. I have nothing to add that hasn't already been said. It's just incredible. Jeremy blows my mind, and the way the band sculpts his lyrics into wide soundscapes, it's masterful. SDRE are so underappreicated in this day and age. | |
| The Rolling Stones – Sympathy for the Devil Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| OOPS! Sorry Glithanis, you were right about the Father, Father, Father, Father! Sorry, In my version it sounds a lot like what I wrote, but I listened more closely at full volume and I discovered it is Father, Father, Father, Father, my bad! | |

Glithanis, Quote"Father, Father, Father, Father, Father/ Into your hands/I/commend my spirit, Father, into your hands" You just misquoted a misquotation! Its really: Father (fucker) Brother (fucker) Brother (fucker) Father! Father/ Into your hands/I/commend my spirit, Father, into your hands, But you are right, this false prophet is full of shit. He is way too superstitious and he believes anything that is not a hymn or a psalm is the devil. He thinks that we will get sucked in by the lyrics of every song and believe and thrive in them, but c'mon... it is just music after all. Great song, my father's band did a great cover of it! |

| Fansuck – Think About It Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| This is bizarre! It is not guitar like Fansuck's other songs but it has a beat, and is made up of samples. I dunno about the first ones but the last one is from Highlander. Cool song! | |
| Fansuck – Understanding Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| I think this song is about all those annoying people in life. The ones who try to change us, the ones who want to be like us, and the ones who just don't understand us. Adam Pearson, the singer of Fansuck, was trying to send out a message to all of them I guess. Great song, interesting riffs! The intro and verse riffs are done on an electric guitar with an amp, and the chorus is on an unplugged electric. At "Why do you always get in my way" that's a strange type of drums that comes in, I dunno what that is! | |
| Fansuck – FaNsUcK Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| Fansuck is a relatively new band, I heard em' the other day, their like metal, mixed with rock with some rap elements. But their guitar is amazing, they change riffs every 5 seconds, and scatter solos throughout their songs! Good luck finding them in search engines tho! Their pretty rare! I found FaNsUcK and Understanding | |
| Mudvayne – Death Blooms Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| MudVayne kicks fucking ass! Slipknot and them are the shit, they are the definition of good metal. This song is about what its like to be old. You waste away ur life saying, "I have plenty of time left to do all the things I want to do" but then when ur old and gray, u realize u cant do all the shit u wanted to, cuz ur not in shape anymore. U miss the days when u could run, fly kites, wrestle, jump and play. You realize that those days are far gone and all u can do is fucking rot in the old folks home with all the old people that you don't belong with. It's a feeling of crippling sadness and disappointment. It is what every old person goes through before they die. Simple. | |
| Slipknot – Wait And Bleed Lyrics | 23 years ago |
|
I have been a maggot since M.F.K.R. and I try my best to get the fuck into the vibe of the music, and feel the lyrics. Slipknot has done something amazing, in creating an atmosphere of deceit and horror using their techniques of coveralls and death lyrics. They fucking kick ass, plain and simple. Iowa wasnt as impacting as Slipknot's self title cd, but it was still good fucking music. This song is great! I'm not fucking bragging cuz I'm an oldschool slipknot fan, but I'm saying that anyone who likes this song has good taste. It's all figurative and Corey once said in concert, that all of his lyrics mean something, and he wants "all you fucking maggots out there, to try and find these lyrics, then you can see what the fuck we're all about!" This song is about the man who was a type of outcast of society, and drifted away from his friends, and started to dwell in his own mind. He became dark, and he let darkness get inside of him. He saw his own death many times in his nightmares. He probably saw the colour in life drifting away and saw his dreams in monochromatic black and white. He obviously had suicidal thoughts, and these were expressed through his dreams. Then, after one of these obscure-suicidal dreams, he wakes up in a pool of his own blood, with his worst nightmare a reality. He tries to deal with this, by wiping his blood off on the floor, but he starts to shake from the shock. He doesn't know how to cope, so he just lies there....and waits and bleeds...then he dies. And that is the beauty of slipknot. It's fucking amazing lyric writing, and the guitar fucking blends with it, it's all amazing, enjoy this song! |
