I was at one of their shows a couple months ago (I actually forget how long ago it was, but whatever), and Matt seemed to allude that it's about Kim and that she used to be like a track star back in the day. I am not sure if he was joking or not. |

this song is great. like, the chemistry between two people and remembering how it felt to be with that person and taking those feelings with you on to another. that's so real, but it probably just fucks things up even more. |

What defines a band being sell-outs? Just because someone who hasn't followed a band since they first formed doesn't mean they're any less of a fan than the alleged "real fans". It's not the band's fault or conscious decision to get popular and famous, and why anyone calls them sell-outs for it is beyond me. Also, why you place your opinions about all of this so high above else's who likes the band is mind-blowing. Why, exactly? Is it because you were their first "real fan"? So, what? I could care less if you liked them one day after they were made or went out and bought the CD the day after you heard this song. Let people like their music and keep your high and mighty opinions about these people to yourselves. |
