| so trite, but i love this song, it's got a GREAT riff and the lyrics are sweet too. Sort of like a guy who's working through hard times and he finds that the only person he can depend on is himself. *shrug* download this song seriously, you'll love this riff, it's addictive O_O | |

*sigh* "The truth...is you could slit my throat...and with my one last gaspin' breath I'd, apologize, for bleedin' on your shirt..." *sigh* I've layed awake at night listening to this song solely for this line and I can't count the numerous times I've cried myself to sleep thinking about how this so exactly describes the pain of what I've felt and how I feel... |

Well I could argue with a ton of people on here, but I just make a couple statements 1) This is their first single off of their new album, this generally means it will be the most poppy song and will have more simple lyrics (however, they do fit together well). I have the album and they're other songs are not all like this one, in fact most aren't all this ... well "happy", only one or two others are. Not to mention, the lyrics get better with they other songs. 2) They never did sell out, they've always had the same style of music and I applaud them for that, sort of a pop/punk with an emo kind of vocals and lyrics (the emo-ish vocals were more present in Nother Gold Can Stay and All About The Girls EP). More people are starting to like their music and it does sicken me that TRL teenie boppers like their music, but what are you gonna do? Who knows, maybe some of the TRLians will decide that they wanna forget MTV and solely listen to punk, that's great. 3) Personally, I think the self titled was the most..."hollow" CD they've made. Nearly every song seemed way too happy and upbeat with the actual lyrics Jordan had written. The only placid/emo-ish sort of songs were "Dressed to Kill" and "Eyesore". 4) I'm not saying every song must be sad or "bleh", but too many "giddy" songs is sorta scary, especially when the lyrics sound like they should be sung to a different, more intense tune, if anyone out there gets my drift. Meh, that was a waste of time seeing how I'll probably just get yelled at, oh well, of you're one of the few who agrees with me, lemme know. L8r |

i heard about that conert! It's coming to Portland Oregon on August 5th...I cant wait to go!!!! w00t! only like 9 bucks!! I saw these guys on May 12th with The Starting Line, Sense Field, Autopilot Off, and Finch...such a b0mb concert. I didnt know about this song at the time, or else i definately wudda listened for it. The TBS song is killer also. PS - The lyrics are missed the part at the end while the music is still quiet and there's tons of spelling errors...anyone mind sending in a correction? i would...but its late and i'm tired ;) |

~More nights of hugging my pillow, oh~ I'm so jealous that Ken got to this lyric before me but then again i'm so happy he did because i'm not good enough of a writer to come up with that. Ken is amazing. He's the nicest guy, he loves music, he's got a great voice, and he's an incredible lyricist...I mean that line hits so close to home because every night i go to rest and i'm frustrated or sad or feeling hopeless....i just squeeze my pillow as hard as i can :( Nothing can ever replace Emo. *Goes to lay in his bed, squeezing his pillow while a single tear graces the sheets...* |

| I met Kenny on his May 12th concert here in portland with Sense Field, Finch, Brand New, and Autopilot Off. He's gotta be one of the coolest band members i know! He signed my ticket and the entire concert (aside from his band's set) we was on the side stage chillin and talking with fans and watching the performing band. dude, i cant wait to see him again up in washington for Warped Tour 2002!! | |
| The Starting Line – Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| hmm, has anyone thought that bands can have a few kinds of music in one? Personally Ken *DOES* sing with lots of emotion and it doesnt matter what he sings about. actually, girls are probably the best subject to sing about and he's so good at writing lyrics too. I find the starting like to be Emo/Punk...the punk edge makes is faster and the emo makes the lyrics and vocal sound more meaningful etc..... and just because people want to know where they stand when it comes to music they like doesnt mean they dont have a life...geez... | |
