Heh. I'd say a lot of these people are sheep. They automatically think that a band gets on MTV and they are sellouts. Well, honestly, bands might not even have an option. Record contracts can be beastly, and they can give the label over control of marketing, and thus a video is a great way to market. So the band has to do that or they'd be in breach of contract. Even if it WAS their choice, would you rather be a fan of a band that is filled with IDIOTS who turned down money for doing what they love? Please. Selling out should be based on the sound of the music, and I really doubt you can say that "My Friends Over You" sounds any different then "Boy Crazy", "Nothing Gold Can Stay" etc etc. I hope that sweetsiren, you meant that jordans voice is cookie cutter UNLIKE Chris Conley (Saves The Day), Chris Carrabba (Dashboard) or Ken from TSL And finally, I'd like it if I could have some sort of bizarre jester playing to me personally.... but who knows, maybe I'm weird. |
