Correct. He knew he couldn't be obvious in his lyrics meant for the Maharishi, so he covered it up and called it "Sexy Sadie." By the way, I love the name Sadie. It's been growing on me lately, probably because of this song. |

I adore this song. Definitely up there as one of my all time favorite Beatles song. Rubber Soul is an amazing album. John said that the girl in "Girl" was his ideal woman. I also read in a book that at the time this song was written, John was doing a lot of research on Christianity and this song depicted his opinion on their whole religious concept. Whatever the meaning, this is the Beatles at their best. :D |

I guess he realizes that he's going to be losing this girl for some reason or another and it seems that he wants to get away from it all. He wants to get over her and "lose her now for good" I love the starting AND the ending of this song. It adds so much to it. |

Love this song. It's a little different from the other tracks on the CD (much more jazzy, which of course is nice. :D). It's one of my favorite John Mayer songs (the others being "Comfortable" and "City Love".). The best line has to be "I can't be her angel now, you know it's not my place to hold her down. and it's hard for me to take a stand, when I would take her anyway I can." Ah, how true is that?!

This is John Mayer at his best. It's unbelievable how his lyrics can reach out to you. They're so personal. For some reason, I can't quite understand all the comparison to Dave Matthews. Sure their voices are fairly similar, but their writing style and technique are completely different. But back on topic, this is without a doubt a beautiful song. |

The girl that the author is writing about seems to take him and their whole relationship for granted and he feels that she might even look onto it all as just "one big game." At the end of the song he starts to get..well, impatient and informs the girl not to throw out her "one good chance" because she only has "this time." Oh, and I completely agree, without the "screaming" this song would be much less emotional. |

Ah, this song's so lovely! It was written by Paul and it described his then fairly newfound relationship with Linda. From what I've read, Linda introduced Paul to a more pleasant, carefree life. The two would often times take long drives out to the countryside with no particular destination in mind, hence "the two of us riding nowhere."
