im an Atheist, and the only thing i've seen from these messages is a bunch of hardline Religious dudes preaching about their own faith, and not caring about other people's. The only thing that distinguishes myself from Christians is my lack of belief in God, Heaven, Hell, etc. I follow my life by the values i set myself, which incidentally is nearly the same as the 10 Commandments. I dont want to kill, i dont want to hate my parents or anyone. Just because im a "heretic" doesnt make me a loving and caring person. I will never be racist. I will never be homophobic. actually, only Mr Brett is an Atheist. Greg G is an Agnostic, and Jay is a Christian. Don't know the rest though. This song means a lot to me, about how people put their faith in god for all the wrong reasons, such as "Final Salvation" and such. |

to an extent, i think phallingdown is right. Fat Mike is a billionnaire. And yes, he's probably made a hell of a lot of money. But that doesn't mean he's motivated by how many records his band or bands on his label sell. He's one of the people who's in it to give people what they wanna listen to, and to provide breaks to bands who want people to listen to their music. However, i think phallingdown is wrong on another issue. Fat Wreck Records has a few mediocre/bad artists, but i wouldn't personally think that MOST are mediocre/bad. Bands like Good Riddance, Anti-Flag, No Use For A Name, Strung Out, Sick Of It All, Snuff, The Lawrence Arms, Consumed, Face to Face, Frenzal Rhomb, Mad Caddies, and Propagandhi. the MTV issue: Without MTV, and The Offspring and Green Day, i wouldn't be listening to bands like Bad Religion, NoFX, Good Riddance, and Propagandhi. And i also wouldnt have found out that the English music scene is alive and well, with bands like CapDown, Farse, Lightyear, and 4 foot Fingers. So thats why MTV gives advantage to listeners who don't even know who Black Flag are, but who want to get into the scene. Peace. |
